Durable Goods Order is also called as the Advanced Report on Durable Goods Manufacturer’s Shipment and Orders. It is an index from the government to measure the dollar volume on the durable goods.

Durable goods is a term to represent the group of goods (new or second hand) that have the usage’s period of more than 3 years. Goods used by defence and transportation departments are excluded.
